Over a two-day Techstars x USC sprint, my team and I developed and pitched a product that took home 1st place, securing interviews with Techstars Catalyst and the Techstars Accelerator.

I led a four-person team through user research, technical validation, and materials exploration, and built the pitch narrative and deck to set our speaker up for a winning presentation.

Role: Strategist & Designer

Client: Rebecca Allen

July 2026 | On going

A paid ad series developed and tested to showcase the versatility of a single nude slipper style — proving that one product can be worn anytime, anywhere, and complement every skin tone. This is still an ongoing project.

Deliverables:

  • Analytics of Tested Ads

  • Paid Ads

  • UGC Management

  • Asset Creation

THE BUSINESS PROBLEM:
Rebecca Allen needed data-backed proof of which paid ad message would convert, before scaling spend.

THE INSIGHT:
Real customer language from Reddit showed women wanted a nude shoe that complemented their skin tone and worked for every occasion — not just a comfortable, adjustable sandal.

THE SOLUTION:
"One Nude. Every Occasion."
Three creatives tested: feature-first, generic styling, and versatility + skin-tone representation. The nude-and-versatility message won — and to build on it, we partnered with UGC creators to wear the sandal across different colorways and styling looks, reinforcing the "every occasion" promise with real, everyday versatility and deepening brand trust.

RESULTS:
8.19% CTR at $0.11 CPC — 76% cheaper and 24% higher-performing than the next-best creative. Became the primary paid ad asset going forward.

THE CASE STUDY

RESEARCH AND TESTING: We developed three ad concepts grounded in real customer language, sourced from Reddit threads and community forums where women discussed footwear pain points around fit, versatility, and finding neutrals that actually match their skin tone.

Each concept was tested via Meta for 7 days/week for 2 weeks against women 35–55 to identify the strongest message-market fit

The Winner

‍

  • Skin-tone representation drove performance

  • Versatility beat feature-first messaging

  • The winner was also the most efficient

  • Generic styling claims underperformed
